With this display cell you can easily demonstrate magnetic lines of force in 3 dimensions. The cell is composed of a sealed glass vessel 18mm H x 6.5mm diameter that contains a specially formulated mixture of clear liquid transport medium and magnetically reactive compound known as a Ferro fluid. Ferro fluids take on the shape of the magnetic field that is passing through them. As a result, you can visualize the field in 3 dimensions. The display cell keeps the fluid from evaporating and also keep the fluid from coating magnets that are brought close to it.
